Korean Red Ginseng Powder | Six-Year Grade • Full Concentration
A molecular structure rich in ginsenosides: roots processed by steaming and drying, guaranteeing maximum density of triterpene saponins.
Location and Growing Variables
Biotope
Grown on the fertile, free-draining soils of the mountainous regions of South Korea. The cultivation cycle is strictly maintained over six full years — the time needed for the root to reach physiological maturity and saturate its tissues with its characteristic compounds.
Harvest
A hand harvest at the plant's peak of development. The exclusive choice of six-year roots gives a complete biochemical profile, where younger roots show a markedly lower concentration of these compounds.
Technical Data and Processing
Unlike white ginseng, this root undergoes a cycle of high-temperature steaming followed by natural sun drying. This thermal protocol triggers a caramelization of the sugars and transforms the chemical structure of the ginsenosides, making them more stable and more available.
Whole roots reduced to a micrometric powder by a cold-grinding process. This technique preserves the integrity of heat-sensitive molecules and ensures optimal solubility of the solutes upon ingestion.
A 100% natural composition, with no added binders, preservatives or filler extracts. The product retains the original ratio of the different types of saponins specific to the Korean terroir.
Organoleptic Characteristics
-
MouthfeelA fine powdery texture with an initial attack marked by a characteristic earthy bitterness. The sensation evolves towards a subtle sweetness at the end of tasting, a sign of a high concentration of saponins.
-
Aromatic SpectrumA profile dominated by notes of deep root, forest floor and dry liquorice. The aroma is robust and persistent, bearing witness to the enzymatic transformation undergone during steaming.
-
Character in the CupRenowned for its adaptogenic properties. The synergy of the ginsenosides acts on the regulation of energy metabolism and the support of cognitive function in periods of stress or intense fatigue.
Brewing Parameters
Administration: A dose of 1 g to 2 g a day is recommended, preferably in the morning. The powder may be taken neat, diluted in warm water (60 °C at most, to preserve the compounds) or mixed into a lipid carrier such as honey to mask the bitterness.
Protocol: For optimal absorption, hold the solution in the mouth for a few seconds before swallowing, to encourage the sublingual passage of certain volatile compounds.
Storage: Store in an airtight container, away from humidity and direct light, to prevent oxidation of the root's natural lipids and degradation of the saponins.
