Encens Hojari du Dhofar | Natural Oleoresin • Dhofar Region, Sultanate of Oman
Boswellia sacra: superior grade, hand-sorted, uniform and pure tears.
Location and Growing Variables
Biotope
A preserved biotope and the ultimate grade of resin: Boswellia sacra, native to the Dhofar governorate in the Sultanate of Oman — and more specifically to the desert and mountainous region of Wadi Hojar — produces the most esteemed sap resin in the world. This lot comes from the latest harvest of the year, carried out in the heart of summer under a climate of extreme aridity, the period during which the tree secretes its purest sap, most concentrated in active compounds, notably boswellic acids.
Prélèvement
A selection of uniform pieces of unequalled purity: the principal distinction of this lot rests on a calibration and manual sorting process carried out three times at source. Where standard harvests mix tears of disparate size and colour containing bark residue, these 20 g flacons retain only the ultimate fraction of the harvest. Each tear is selected individually according to strict criteria of geometric and chromatic purity: a crystalline texture, a translucent colour ranging from amber white to subtly silvered or sea-green reflections, and a total absence of impurities or rock dust. This goldsmith's sorting guarantees a perfect homogeneity of pieces, offering a consistency of aromatic diffusion and a purity of the highest grade, unobtainable through conventional channels.

Paramètres de Préparation
01
Method of preparation (infusion / hydro-solubilisation): Place one tear of resin (approximately 2 to 3 g) in a large glass of spring water at room temperature. Leave to macerate overnight (8 to 12 hours). The resin will infuse and lend the water a slightly milky hue. Traditionally, this water is taken in the morning. The tear may also be infused in water heated to 85 °C for 15 minutes.
02
Usage traditionnel (Mastication) : Owing to its absolute purity, a small tear may be chewed directly, in the manner of a natural gum.
03
Fumigation aromatique : Placed on a candle diffuser or on charcoal at a controlled temperature, the resin melts without immediately carbonising. It purifies the atmosphere, diffusing a woody, balsamic fragrance of remarkable clarity.
04
Précautions d’usage : A pure and natural product. Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Keep the jar tightly sealed, in a cool and perfectly dry place, away from humidity to prevent the tears from clustering.
